Sameera Reddy was born in a Telugu family on December 14, 1978. She has two sisters Megna, a supermodel, and Sushma, a VJ, model, and actress, and lives in Mumbai with her parents and sisters. Originally, she belongs to a small town named Rajamundry in the South Indian State of Andhra Pradesh.
Being influenced by siblings’ success, she was very fond of acting and her father always preferred her to act in Telugu films. She stepped in to the world of entertainment by appearing in Pankaj Udhas' video Aashita. She then concentrated on modeling and offered assignments including Lissome.

Says Sushma, “We never discuss work at home. As it is we are in and out of it all day long. We just chill out, party and watch lots of TV together. It’s pointless talking about work. As they say ‘never carry your work home’.”“However we do ‘discuss’ about other things that go way beyond our professional lives. Like Sameera helps me with my grooming and I give her tips on styling. I don’t splurge on creams and other beauty and skin care products. I’m not obsessed with my looks. I am very chilled out in the sense that I’d just do the needful like basic grooming,” she quips.So its only ‘Sibling revelry’ in the Reddy household!
